Well well well....This is a topic that probably is going to get me in trouble but here it goes. The dating of men outside the African American ethnic group.
For a very long time Black women of america have held on to the hope that our men of the same experiences would be the mates of our choice. Wrong! too often, we have been tpye cast as Bossy, Controlling,Mothering,Selfish Bitchess, who don't listen and are always angry.....I wonder how we got this way, if this is really the way we are.
How many times have we gone beyond the call of duty to "lift up the egos of men who don't appreciate our support, once they've gotten themselves together" !. Ummh.... Granted American Black men like Barack, and Colin Powell are few, but they do exsist. Those and men like them are the smart ones; a Black women's worth is well known to everyone. And they are very proud of that fact.
The rest of you have become a source of great disappointment. How often do you see Black women out in groups with no men! It's become a generation standard.
Sisters, here this, dating men outside our ethnic group and race is really the only way these sterotypes about us are going to change. If you are not appreciated by men on a universal level, then maybe, you need to do a "what's wrong with me" session with a professional. With out giving away to much information, a kiss with our eyes closed feels no different, use your imagination to fill in the rest. When you walk with that person, feel proud of being loved for your soulful self and your ability to have an opinion.
